Maintenance

  • Lock on side double gate – This has been changed to allow pedestrian access from one side of the double gates only.
  • Reseeding of Lawn Cemetery – In late September parts of the Lawn Cemetery will be cordoned off to allow for topsoil and reseeding. The Trust hope that the public understand and respect the need to attend to areas that are sinking.
  • An Audit of Graves in General Cemetery – the Trust will be continuing with a grave audit to remove breakable items in the remaining sections of the General Cemetery. Any items considered valuable will be placed in storage for collection by families.
  • WW1 Veterans sign – a sign with QR code linking some WW1 Veterans to Mayday Hills has been erected in the General Cemetery.
